Hua Hin is the favorite destination for Thais to escape during a weekend, therefore, if you are looking for a place to run away from the Cosmopolitan Bangkok and spend a quiet holiday, Hua Hin is your ideal place. Hua Hin Information

Hua Hin has a reputation for being Thailand's 'royal beach resort', as it hosts the King of Thailand's summer palace. In Hua Hin, you will find some of the finest spa retreat resorts in the world, yet it is still oh so popular with Thai vacationers. Somehow, the resort location has been able to keep its traditional fishing harbor feel whilst rising in stature as a modern Thai tourist hotspot. This is due to the diverse number of activities available ranging from classy golf courses to seaside horseback rides, amazing hilltop sunset viewpoints to bustling market life. Hua Hin is a great little tourist destination.

  • Eat and Meet

The variety of food that Hua Hin offers is endless, from traveling cars of Thai food to international luxury restaurants with terraces pointing out to the sea, finding a place to eat delicious food will be easy, however, it varies depending on the area. If you walk through the central area of Hua Hin, you will find Thai and Western food at higher prices as it is considered as a touristic place, however, there are some sites that stand out in the area, such as the Fat Cat restaurant, it is a bar- restaurant that offers good food and wine while you enjoy live jazz music, the best thing of all is its accessible prices, on the other hand, if you travel to the western area of Phetkasem, better known as Soi 72, you will discover the night market of the city, which is a must see of the area, there you can enjoy the Thai delights like sticky coconut rice or a seafood barbecue, the prices are quite cheap and you can find dishes for less than 50 baht. Don’t miss out on the Thai style small bars in the north of Hua Hin, on top of that, you must pay a visit to the best restaurant in town You Yen Balcony.

  • Hua Hin and Its Beaches

Surely you've heard of the famous beach of Hua Hin, with its fine and soft sand, ideal for outdoor activities and water sports. The clear shallow water makes this place ideal to relax and enjoy the sun. Although Hua Hin beach is the most popular in the area, do not miss out on the surroundings of the province of Prachuap Khiri Khan, where you will find beaches like Suan Son, this long bay is surrounded by pine trees and does not have a lot of food stalls, its entrance fee is 5 baht. On the other hand, about eight kilometres from Suan Son, you can visit Khao Tao, a large beach that has deeper water that is ideal for swimming, you can visit it in a day; and do not forget to bring some snacks, since this is not a very touristic beach, local vendors may not be available on some days. If you travel to Hua Hin between the months of August to October, be careful, as the coast is usually surrounded by deadly box jellyfish.

  • Hua Hin Attractions

Hua Hin actually means "head stone", and the five kilometer beach does in fact extend from a rocky headland, which is great for long walks. The beaches are really good, with soft sands and great scenery - perfect for relaxing and recharging on. The local railway station is regarded as Thailand's most beautiful, having previously been a royal pavillion. Many tourists visit the station annuall to take pictures and enjoy a stop or two for some inland scenic Thai countryside views. There are also various scenic viewpoints including Hin Lek Fai Hill, Tao Hill, and the Hua Hin Hills Vineyard that's only 45 minutes away from Hua Hin Town. The vineyard has wonderful views and a restaurant where you can taste the homegrown wine.

  • Hua Hin Golfing

Hua Hin is a popular golfing destination with both Asian and European travellers due to it's great selection of classy courses. The "Banyan Golf Club" was recently voted "Best New Course in Asia Pacific" and is a world-class championship course with amazing facilities. The "Black Mountain" course has competing claims to Hua Hin's best course with its superb views of lush jungle, natural creeks and mountains. Then there's the wonderfully maintained "Springfield Royal Country Club", which is a 27-hole Jack Nicklaus designed masterpiece with a lush, dramatic landscape of varying dificulty. Need we go on? Check out the courses online, then make your way over with clubs in tow!
