Maenam Pier is located on the north of Samui Island and right next to one of the island's most underrated beaches. The pier is a small but adequate ferry dock that does the job, hosting ferries that daily depart to and from Koh Phangan, Koh Tao and the Surat Thani mainland. The pier is relatively easy to find, although its possible your taxi driver may not know the location exactly. Good news though is that it's easy to find - on entering Maenam Village you'll see the one set of traffic lights, then a police booth, and then the entrance road to Maenam Pier itself.
Maenam itself is not just a drive-through village. You'll find some nice relaxed, atmospheric restaurants just off the beach road, and the location is a little closer to some of the more traditional and rural Samui areas and lifestyles, which you might like to see. Maenam Beach is pretty awesome also, and a much quieter seaside beach than some of the other Samui beaches. The water is calm and good for swimming, and the golden sands are good for walking/relaxing on, it's very idyllic. Address : Moo 1, Maenam Beach, Koh Samui, 84330
