• » The first and the easiest option is to take a flight from Bangkok to Koh Samui. Both Bangkok Airways and Thai Airways provide trips to this route from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport to Koh Samui. • » The following option is to book a flight to Chumphon Airport from Bangkok’s Don Muang Airport. (Only Nok Air provides this trip) Once you arrive in Chumphon, you can easily take a bus to the pier where you will hop on a ferry to Koh Tao.
• » The last available choice is to fly to Surat Thani from either Suvarnabhumi Airport, or Don Muang. Next, take a ferry from there to Koh Tao. Just note that this one is the longest, due to the longer ferry trip and the late flight arrival times.

If you are traveling from Suvarnabhumi, Thai Airways is the available airline there. Otherwise, Nok Air, Thai AirAsia, and Thai Lion Air operate from Don Muang.

From Bangkok to Koh Tao by train and ferry

It is no surprise that trains take a long time! As the train trip may take up to 13 hours. Otherwise, this may be the most comfortable and longest choice of all three. And you have two options:

• » The first one is the train from Chumphon to Koh Tao. You get to choose from either 1st, 2nd class seats, or the sleeper train. You can get your ticket from the Hua Lamphong train station.

* Don’t forget to ask about the combination ticket that comes with the overnight train, which includes both a transfer to the pier and the ferry to Koh Tao.*

• » Another option is taking the train from Surat Thani. They usually have a better variety in their schedules, just bear in mind that this option requires one more ferry trip from Koh Samui to Koh Tao, thus it takes a longer time.

Your ferry e-ticket includes ferry transport, baggage fees and handling.The Free Baggage Allowance for one person is 20 kgs. All of your personal baggage should be allowed on board at no additional charge. The local staff reserve the right to check your bags as a security measure. When will I receive my ticket confirmation?

Once you have completed the online booking process, your booking will remain in "Pending" status until processed. We will then send you your confirmed booking e-ticket via Email. The whole process will not take long at all. Once received, you will need to print your e-ticket out and present to the ferry staff at the relevant booking counter on the day. If you do not receive the confirmation within 24 hours, please contact us immediately.
