How to get from Krabi to Koh Jum

Krabi to Koh Jum Ferry
The Krabi to Koh Jum ferry links the mainland port town of Krabi with the quiet, jungle-covered island of Koh Jum (also spelled Ko Pu), one of the less-visited stops on the Krabi to Koh Lanta corridor. Boats connect Krabi and Koh Jum directly, making Koh Jum an easy add-on for travellers heading further south toward Koh Lanta or coming from Koh Phi Phi.
This route is seasonal and only operates selected months of the year. Outside these months, boat operators suspend the direct Krabi–Koh Jum service because sea conditions in the low season make the crossing unreliable. If you are travelling outside selected months of the year, check the Krabi to Koh Lanta ferry schedule instead, since long-tail boats and taxi-boat transfers from Koh Lanta or Krabi to Koh Jum can sometimes be arranged privately when the scheduled service is not running.
Transport options and operators
Travellers can reach Koh Jum by ferry, speedboat, long-tail boat, or minivan-and-boat combination tickets, depending on the operator and season. Scheduled services are run by Andaman Wave Master, alongside other operators covering the wider Krabi–Koh Lanta–Koh Phi Phi corridor. Boats typically use a speed boat, and on-board facilities generally include onboard facilities, though this can vary by operator and vessel.
Departure points, journey time and price
Ferries depart from Krabi's Klong Jilad Pier (also known as Krabi Passenger Port, near Krabi Town), with some seasonal services also boarding from Nopparat Thara Pier. On Koh Jum, boats dock at the pier serving Ban Ko Pu and the Ting Rai Pae area on the island's east coast, close to most guesthouses and resorts. The crossing takes around the scheduled journey time, and 1 are available during the operating season, so it's worth checking the live timetable before planning your day. Fares start from ฿900 per person one way, with prices varying by operator, boat type and how far in advance you book.
Nearby islands on the same corridor
Koh Jum sits between Krabi and Koh Lanta, so many boats on this route continue on to or originate from further stops along the same corridor. If Koh Jum doesn't have a sailing that suits your dates, the Krabi to Koh Lanta ferry and Krabi to Koh Phi Phi ferry run more frequently and can be combined with a local long-tail transfer to reach Koh Jum. Travellers based on Koh Lanta can also look at boat and speedboat connections between the two islands directly.
Booking your ferry
Because sailings are limited to selected months of the year and capacity can sell out on smaller boats, it's best to book your Krabi to Koh Jum ferry ticket in advance, especially around weekends and Thai holidays. Check the timetable above for the next available departure, confirm your pier and boarding time with your ticket, and arrive at least 30 minutes early to allow for check-in. If you're planning the return leg, the Koh Jum to Krabi ferry page has the reverse schedule and pricing.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to print my ferry ticket or is mobile ok?
You don't need to print your ticket. Your boarding voucher is in your account: open Bookings, then View trip details, and click Download PDF. On the day of travel, show the QR code on it — on your phone is fine — to the ferry operator staff at the pier named on your ticket, and they will direct you to your boat.
If you'd prefer paper, print the PDF yourself.
What happens if my ferry is cancelled due to weather?
We are sorry when weather stops a sailing. Ferries usually run in rain; speedboats are more often stopped by rough seas.
If your trip is cancelled because of weather, your booking in Bookings shows a message once our team has confirmed the cancellation. You can then either move to the next available service with Change this booking, or cancel with Cancel & refund for a full refund.
If the sailing is running but you choose not to travel, the normal cancellation policy applies.
Why is my account locked?
We lock an account for a short time after several failed sign-in attempts in a row. It is an automatic safety measure: it stops someone else guessing your password, and it happens whether or not the person typing was you.
You do not need to contact us. The lock lifts on its own — see How long am I locked out for?
What is the difference between a locked and a blocked account?
Locked is automatic and temporary. It happens after repeated failed sign-in attempts and it lifts by itself — within a minute in most cases.
Blocked is a decision made by our team, and it does not lift on its own. If your account is blocked you will need to contact us; waiting will not change it, and neither will resetting your password.
If you are not sure which applies to you, get in touch and we will tell you.
How do I unlock my account now?
Wait, and try again. Every lock lifts on its own — a minute the first time, and never more than an hour however many attempts have failed. There is nothing to click and nobody to contact.
If you have forgotten your password, do not keep guessing: each wrong attempt makes the next wait longer. Use Forgot password instead. Resetting your password gets you straight back in.
My account locked but I never tried to sign in
Then someone else was trying to sign in as you, and the lock did its job — it stopped them.
Your account is safe: a lock means the attempts failed. Nobody got in. You do not have to do anything, and the lock will lift on its own.
We would still recommend two things:
- Change your password, especially if you use the same one on another website.
- Add an authenticator app in your account security settings, so a password alone is never enough to sign in as you.
If you get these repeatedly, contact us and we will look into it.
