Located at Ba Ta Khun District, Ratchaprapha dam, also known as Cheow Lan Dam is a rock with clay core dam that is 94 meters high and was built back in 1982. The dam resides on a beautiful lake called the Cheow Lan Lake which is known for its breathtaking view and an impressive collection of fauna and flora with many different species. The dam is also a multipurpose dam as it is used for electricity generation, flood control, fishing, and irrigation.

Surat Thani has many religious sights in its province including Wat Suan Mokkhaphalaram which is an amazing retreat founded by Ajan Buddhadasa Bikkhu, who is one of Thailand’s famous monks.
